It's officially over. :(

ACL Music Festival - Weekend One was another successful, great year.  Sunday was one of the best overall band choice days!

The Mowgli's, Kodaline, Courrier, Grouplove and surprisingly Lionel Richie took us all back... back for me to my youth.  Dancing on the Ceiling was a huge hit and he even broke out some Commodores...  Brick House!  Classically entertaining way to end ACL.

Sad to leave Zilker, but already looking forward to next year with a whole new line up!  Maybe you will join us!

Thanks for following!

Phoenix!!!!

Entertainment is the first song! :)

Lionel Richie! Classic!

This is as close as zoom as my phone gets.  A lot of lights, but one of the clearest pics I could get...

Phoenix is from Paris, France!

In forefront on left is Phoenix on Bud Light with Atoms for Peace on AMD in background on right.

David is listening to Atoms for Peace... or taking a nap... who knows!?!  I just hope he is warm!  Sun has set and temps are slowly dropping down to 60's and then 50's.  Shirts, jackets, tights and boots with warm socks sure feels good!

Phosphorescent!

Song for Zula...  awesome!!  Such a unique voice!  Awesome front row we got!!  Woo hoo!

He dressed up for the occasion!

The National on AMD...

White Denim on Austin Ventures...

Grouplove's lead singer changed guitars every song! This one is named Truth!

Love you True, Courage, Justice, Trust and Patience!  Maybe some day you could join Kiki, David and I at ACL!

Grouplove!

Tongue Tied!

Noah and the Whale on Honda!

So excited, I couldn't stand still!

Another gorgeous day at ACL!

Clear skies and breeze makes it absolutely delightful!

It's lunch time!

Green chili pork tacos, bratwurst and spicy pickles, topped off with fresh ice cream sandwich for dessert!

David came with us up front this time!!

The Mowgli's was the best!

Super energetic, crowd interactive, "San Francisco" loving, awesomeness!!!!  A must see if given the opportunity!

Do you feel the love? I feel the love - come on come on let's start it up - let it pour out of your soooooooooul!!

The Mowgli's!!!

Crowds from Mowgli's Bud Light stage...

Get Magbifying Glass

While be-popping to Mowglies they hired a plane with a banner saying the Mowglies Love You!

Kodaline on AMD...

From Ireland, first festival in U.S. and they were AWESOME!  "All I Want" is more Kodaline!

Yeah ACL!!!

A few muddy areas staked out...

But it should dry up in no time.  I already took off my long sleeve, tights and boots!  It is back to a beautiful ACL day!

Courrier at Austin Ventures stage....

Hi, How Are You

Aaron Behrens and the Midnight Stroll at Hinda stage...

O E O

Heather & Rick

Early morning arrivals too!

Waiting at park entrance...

Our friends, Rick and Heather, took our pic. :)  They are early birds too! :)

Beautiful Day 3

Cold weather front from our friends in the north came to Austin yesterday around 5;00 pm with wind a falling temps delightfully cooling off the warmer day and layering quickly took place without literally skipping a neat in our fun! Didn't rain until around 3;00 this morning. Grounds are damp, boots are great. Still cool but no rain high 70's and then cool again tonite. Layers in morning and then before we go home. Another day off music and moving in the sun. Lionel Richie as headliner tonite fun memories of growing up Davy & Kelly!

A Lionel Richie tribute was painted on a bridge column...

He is the last headliner tonight!

View of Austin skyline from footbridge...

Walk to Zilker...

We have ay least a one mile trek from parking spot to Zilker.  Part of trek route is the footbridge over Lady Bird Lake under MoPac Expy.

Day 3 is here!

Day 2 was great.  Sunny most of the day with cool front coming in, but no rain. :)  It did storm last night around 3am, so the grounds may be soggy, but should dry up soon as the sun is already shining.

Cool temps this morning with 57, high of 79 today, and low 50's tonight.  So starting out the day with tights, long sleeves and rain boots.

Day 2 favorites including WALK THE MOON, Dan Croll, and always Kings of Leon!

Looking forward to day 3, but bittersweet as it is also the last day of ACL... :(

The Cure!

It is sure hard to take pics at night, but what a great day 2!

Kings of Leon!!!!

It is really chilly, so jackets, tights and socks are on.  Searching for trees to block the wind...

The Weeks

At the smallest stage here BMI. We have heard many good people here on this stage including these guys!

Passion Pit on AMD from our seats...

It is cooling off and sun is slowly setting...  Glad I brought a long sleeve shirt!

The Joy Formidable on Bud Light Stage. She came down to crowd and played a raging guitar...

Our "camp" site for today...

And you can see clear blue skies in background.  Wind has picked up, and breeze from the north feels great!

We finally got close enough along the rail to see the band!

For some reason they were sucked back in to the stage, so people far left and right, could not see the band!

Portugal. The Man screen shot...

Portugal. The Man on AMD...

Junip on Honda Stage...

Flag frenzy!

WALK THE MOON gave us all a work out!

It's amazing how good it feels to bring your hands above your head after walking for miles...

Besides Dan Croll that had some great beats, WALK THE MOON got us going and for me, so far my fave of the day. :)

ANNA SUN!!!!

The giant screens next to the stage do a much better job...

My attempt to take crowd pictures...

WALK THE MOON - close up...

They are boys from Ohio...

WALK THE MOON on Samsung Galaxy...
